A beautiful team of Percheron mares, Penny and Pearl, officially joined Veterans Legacy’s Camp Alma on Nov. 20, 2021, in a community dedication and celebration.These draft horses are the equine therapy team at Camp Alma, which offers housing and integrative agricultural therapy for homeless veterans in Lane County and Oregon.The event included a transfer of ownership of the horses’ registrations to Veterans Legacy by Board president, Dr. John LeBow, blessing of the horses by Allen Truesdale, Native American Spiritual Elder, and wagon rides!
